Contest Rules

• Contestant is responsible for providing his/her own music/materials. Do not bring music on a CD. You must have your song already downloaded on your phone with a connection cord with a USB end or have the song available on a flash drive. Do not rely on connection the night of the event! Inability to access music will result in an inability to perform.

• MUST be 18 years of age to register OR have your registration signed by your parent/legal guardian. There is no age limit! You’re not too young nor too old.

• Winner MUST be available to perform as opening act on Sunday, September 21st. Winner is also expected to be the opener for the following year’s Banana Festival on Friday night unless unforeseen circumstances arise. (This is an unpaid opening spot as it gives the opener exposure and opportunity to open for a known artist)

• In an effort to keep the competition to a reasonable duration, we are only accepting the first 20 contestants who sign up. This means contestants are taken on a first-come basis. We will NOT accept more than 20 contestants.

• Register by filling out the entry form below or mail to PO Box 1516 Fulton, KY 42041 before Thursday, September 5th at 5pm. There will be no walk-up registrations accepted.

• Acts are to be of tasteful nature. No vulgar language, dancing or clothing will be allowed. If your act is determined inappropriate, your performance will be stopped and you will be disqualified from the contest.

• All contestants MUST arrive at the Pontotoc Building by 6pm the night of the contest to be put in the lineup. Bands may be contacted to arrive earlier for setup.

• Performance order will be determined on the night of the event. Bands may be asked to perform first due to required setup time.
